I have a file .exp and we can view it in a program called AutoVue, it seems to be a catia model V4, we sent it to a customer who uses Catia V5 can says he cannot open it, is there a method to opening this model in catia?

Maybe its not v4....or you should use Tools-Utility-..in v5..

It could also be that your customer is clueless. It cannot be "opened". It must be extracted. This is well documented online, and in the help documentation.

There is very little chance that this is NOT a V4 file if you can see it with AutoVue.

Right at the bottom left of AutoVue it tells me:
CATIA EXPORT V4 R2.4

AutoVue is telling what file it is

The file will not let me extract it, RMB will not list extraction. strange!

RMB will not list extraction, because it is a utility, not a command.

I would recommend that you refer to the help documentation, or search the forum for extracting .exp files.
