Import a DXF to an existing RISA Model

Good morning.
I have an ongoing RISA model of a building with section sets, loads, etc. Now I want to do some additions to the model and I was wondering if it is possible to draw in AutoCAD and import those additions to my building without changing anything else. I have tried to import them but every time I get a completely new model that only includes the additions. Thanks and have a nice day.
