Impact Tester for Polymeric Coatings

I have been asked to design an impact tester by falling weight. I have been able to read up on them and understand more less how they work. This impact tester has to be able to comply with ASTM 2794.

So far I have design the graduated 40 inch cylinder with a maximum load of 8 lbs. I am running into obstacles when determining the form of the punch and the die. I want this impact tester to have a force of 300 lbs-inch.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Can anyone provide fabrication drawings or dimensions? Any help is welcomed.

Did you read ASTM D2794, specifically section 6? It describes the requirements for both the Indenter and the Panel Support.
