I am looking for a castable alloy with a VERY high impact strength. I am currently using ZAMAK 5. Is there an alternative?

Yes, iron-nickel PM with copper infiltration and air hardening. The process is competitive with die casting.

The magnesium alloys AM60, AM50 and AM20 have high ductility and can provide impact resistance. You also could try the hypoeutectic aluminium alloys - just about anything is better than zinc.
