I am familiar with the Y14.5 standard. My question is this:

Material: 2.0mm +/-.15 thickness tolerance
Datum A is opposite side of die plane
Trim tolerance is profile of line +/-.3 (.6 in box) from ABC
B&C RFS

My concern is the customer has the A plane opposite side of forming side. Where thickness tolerance now has direct influence to the final position of the trim line.

The ASME Y14.5 standard applies to the finished part, regardless of how it's made. Without seeing the configuration or the reason for the small trim tolerance I cannot make a good suggestion.
