Hi all,

Am designing a reinforced concrete wall, with large window-hole, as per revit sketch above,

Large line loads on the wall, roughly 1300 kn per metre length,(slabs at upper level and lower level of wall)

Am not sure how to HAND CALCULATE the global behaviour of the wall, ie moments and shear forces around the hole area, how do i start to understand how it will behave on a macro level.

Havent dealt with such a large hole in such a critical structural element before.

Obv, i could ignore the upper or lower half, but thats not reasonable imo.

You should look up strut and tie method, but honestly with such large loads, I'd make sure that someone more experienced checks it if it is your first STM.

Looking at it I do not feel confident. 1300 kN/m' is a massive load! Are you sure that you did not write one 0 too many?
 
I would start by considering this as two columns and two beams (one above and one below the upper window), with any remaining area as infill. That will probably get the job done without getting too fancy.
