I have a Logo with nice shadow effects saved as a jpeg. Is there a way to imbed this into my titleblock area on my drawing template. I created a decal on a surface model but the drawing template will not save it.

I'm pretty sure, Tom, that you're going to have to save it as a bitmap first. Then, while editing the sheet format, insert/object/bitmap image. Save sheet format & template.

Thanks Jeff, I found better quality by saving it as a pcx Pain Brush file then inserting the object.
This worked well

Rob, When in my drwdot file I can not do that, or maybe I'm doing it wrong!! I get a message "The item on the clipboard cannot be pasted here"

Open the logo in a graphics viewer
<Ctrl>C on the logo
Open a new drawing
Select the sheet format you want to add the logo to
RMB select Edit Sheet Format
LMB click in the sheet format and <Ctrl>V
Position & resize to suit
RMB select Edit Sheet
File > Save sheet format (slddrt)
File > Save as new template (drwdot)

Maybe insert the image into a word doc and then embedding the word doc into your sheet format. A lot of our customers do it this away. But some just embedded the image too.

Use irfanview - - as your default image program (best quick handling, format conversion, resize/resample, batch, crop, open source image tool out there). I use this tool all the time to do quick Alt Print Screens of Solidworks with a control V in irfanview, followed by a mouse select crop and a quick ctrl s save out to jpg. But back to your logo, Ctrl C it in irvanview and go into SW and edit sheet format. Ctrl V it into the format, size and place it. This is saved in the drt file as CBL mentioned and is not held in the dot.

Thanks all for your help.
