Illuminated safety stop (E-stop) button 1

When a E-stop button is activated (pressed), should only it illuminate so you know which stop was triggered? Or should all indicators in the circuit illuminate so the fault is visible no matter where you are in the system?

By past experience I vaguely remember the latter, but I'm referencing ANSI R15 and NFPA 79 but I haven't found an answer to this question.

There is no standard requiring it to be illuminated at all, which means you can illuminate it using any strategy that you see fit.

A common strategy is to illuminate the button in question, and to somewhere have a beacon-stack including a red beacon in the stack, which illuminates (or flashes) when the system is powered up but is in a stop condition.
