Hi folks,

With respect to switchgear tripping supplies, we can supply these externally via, for example battery backed source.

Do these panels typically have an internal DC distribution bus to distribute the power to each section or do you require to run a cable to each section individually? Physically on the switchgear, where is the normal point of termination for the DC incoming supply?

Cheers

General practice is to provide two DC supplies (redundant) to the switchgear. These are terminated in the two incomer panels (one in each incomer panel) with changeover switch installed in Buscoupler panel.
The switch has OFF/Independent/Supply-1/Supply-2 positions with 'Independent' being the default position.
In 'Independent' position, Supply-1 feeds the DC requirements of Section-1 panels, Supply-2 feeding Section-2 panels.
