Idle NVH and Road NVH

Please explain the basics of the Idle NVH and Road NVH. What kind of targets to be met for each of them and the criterias to meet the same.
 
Idle NVH

Max dB Lin (typically dominated by firing order)

Max dBA

Max steering wheel vibration (may be dminated by first order of firing order or misfires (half order)

Max floorpan vibration

Road NVH

Smooth Rd NVH - dBA

Coarse road NVH - max dBA and dbLin spectrum

Also various shake targets

Thank you. Please explain me more about how the floor pan vibration is so important than any other panel noise radiation/vibration ans also about the various shake targets.

Agreed. Target setting requires as much knowledge and experience as subsequent work to meet those targets. Even more so if those targets are "sound quality" targets, which is becoming more and more important with modern platform sharing.
