Help, I am trying to identify an involute spline by measurement on a Klingelnberg machine. Accuracy is very important and the data suggests a close to standard 40teeth 40/80 fillet root, side fit spline, however either there is a profile error in the spline or it has a pressure angle of around 33degrees. Does anyone know of a spline standard with this pressure angle, is it more likely that the spline just has poor form or is it the fact that the spline has been carburised and has probably distorted?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks
