Idea for narrowing a alu-profile.

Hi there!
I seek some help regarding a simple contruction.
See image.
I would like to fabricate a anodized aluminium profile where a band with screws can run.

My problem is that I would like to contruct an element in the end of profile that can retain the band (not completely but so that you have to apply a light pull to the band to get it through.)

The contruction should be an mechanical one like a bended feathersteel or so. But I can't quite figure it out. Hope to hear some imputs?

I Would get some stainless feeler gauge material to make a simple spring retainer to attach to the support for the track. The thickness of the gauge would determine the amount of pull to remove the track.

If any quantity look at companies like Eastern Gauge or you can get and assortment to determine you spring rate.
