I graduated ( Civil ) 2yrs ago unfortunately after finishing I started working for a LPG company.

And then in a move across the country, I lost all my notes / files and class work. And Im afraid that I have lost all my knowledge on road design, stormwater catchment area's, including open gutter flow.

Can anyone point me to some really good reference books on these subjects, hopefully with examples etc. :)

cheers,

For stormwater, try the Federal Highway Administration web site for free downloads:

Urban Drainage Design Manual
Hydraulic Design of Highway Culverts
Introduction to Highway Dydraulics

For roadway design, go to your state's Department of Transportation and inquire about Design Manuals, Standards, etc. Larger cities may also have Design Manuals.

Other references you should have are "A Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets" published by AASHTO and "Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices", which is another download from the Federal Highway Administration.
