Multiport fuel injection. A fuel injection setup where each cylinder gets its own injector (and the injectors inject directly into the ports, rather than somewhere upstream).
MPFI is MULTI-POINT FUEL INJECTION(Note that CART V8s inject alcohol into the air horns,not the ports). TBI is THROTTLE BODY INJECTION. These systems are really only PRESSURIZED CARBURATION.By actual definition,FUEL INJECTION is the introduction of fuel DIRECTLY into the cylinder/chamber. Happy New Year!
