I would like to know some precast concrete systems, so that I can go from 5m span up to 10m . Here in Spain we always use precast abutments plus precast beams, but I am looking for a global solution (it means one piece). Do you have any idea?
Thank You
Carlos

By global solution are talking about an entire deck?

Here in the US for small structures within the span length you've mentioned we use precast-prestressed box girders. Many of the Department of Transportations have several standard beams which are readily available from precast suppliers. These beams are referred to as deck beams and with an asphalt overlay to warp in the riding surface you're ready to drive over.

Whole decks would more difficult just from the standpoint of transporting to the bridge location.

Thank you very much for your information. Do you know the name of some company where I could see those deck beams??
Best regards
Carlos

It will take you to the Illinois Department of Transportation CADD site. From there check out the links to Prestress. If you have Adobe Acrobat or Microstation you will be able to see some of the beam sizes available.
