I guys!

It as been a while since my last post! But I'm back again and hope to always find a bit of time to share with you.

For the time beeing I need your help.

I've been running Sw2007 SP2.2 for sometime, without noticeable issues.

Now I've upgraded to SP4.0 (mainly to test the new validation process) and... surprise: all details added in drawings (dimensions and annotations) are yellow. They are very difficult to read!

Hoping that the new SP have new system options for detailing, I started to search for a color to change: no luck.

I've changed all system colors that where yellow to other colors, with no success.

The details created on SP4.0 are shown yellow even if the file is opened on SP2.2, and details created on SP2.2 are shown black (as it should be) even if the file is opened on SP4.0.

Any ideas?

Regards

Hi Jeff

No I didn't.
Thinking that this could be the issue, I verified that. I even created details in other layers (none using yellow) and the problem was the same: the details where added all in yellow.

I just upgraded from SP2.2 to SP4.0 and started to work, testing if everything is OK. No change in options, templates,..., was done. It just hapen that I upgraded in the middle of detailing a drawing.

Thanks

Select a yellow dim. Hit the line color icon in the layer property toolbar. Is the default box checked under the color palate? Sounds like all your dim and anno colors are becoming un-defaulted and reset to yellow. strange.

I had something like this happen with Rev Block recently. Try renaming your registry folder for SolidWorks from SolidWorks to SolidWorks_old. Start SolidWorks afterwards to see if the issue remains. If so, then your registry become corrupt. Rename SolidWorks_old back to SolidWorks (delete), then start up SolidWorks again. Reset your colors to default under Tools pulldown>Options>System Options>Colors. Regediting can screw up your system if you don't do it correctly, so if you aren't experienced in this, just simply reset the colors as your first step to see if that works.

Got it!

I don't know why, but the Default option under the Line color icon was unchecked.

On the other computers it is checked and I am prety shure that it was checked too, on this computer, prior to SP4.0 install (I was detailing a drawing and the details where black). Another XFiles case.

Once checked, everything returned to normal.

Thanks for the precious link, RFUS!
