I have (600) ball valves sized from 6" to 72",for water pipline transporation system.
the problem is that:- the ball of all this valves were protected with electroless nicle + electroless chromium > 50 micron, but after one year of operation we found corrosion in the bore of that balls.
the qustion is that:- Is it recommended to replate the ball with same material or to use nikle or chromium only, and what is the advanteges and disadvanteges of it.
