I can't change color on some objects.

I'm not an expert. Started using Acad at ver 10 but on rare occations.
Currently using 2004 LT.

The object appears to be a block. It is green. I want it black.
If i select it, and change the color on either the toolbar, or properties, the color changes in name only. It still looks green.
Regen/Redraw changes nothing.
The layer is not locked or frozen.

One needs to redefine the block so that the entities within the block are on layer 0. The following routine will redefine all blocks in a drawing:

terryscan ist right, but a lisp-routine is not working in LT. You have to install an application.

And you can try the colour "by block"..,

You should be able to double click on the block to edit it. Change the color of the entities to ByLayer or whatever. Save the edits. Should work. I've done it many times.
