I just completed a 2.5-hour meeting,
with 10 attendees,
from 3 different organizations,
using Teams online, where
everyone showed up,
everyone was on time,
everyone had the agenda,
everyone got a chance to speak,
nobody's voice was garbled,
nobody strayed off topic,
contentious subjects didn't blow up,
managers didn't need to shush their subordinates,
a way forward was made on many obstacles,
and I finished on time,
with no actions to follow up that fell upon me.

Bow before my project management greatness.

The secret is to plan the meeting with several meetings in advance. Review what will be discussed in the later meeting, and prepare responses to issues that will be raised.

You are vindicated. I did miss an action item, and it did land upon me. Fortunately I managed to do my thing and send it out in 1/2 hour, but I have to grant that I was not as scot-free as I originally claimed.

I just want to make it known that I wasn't trying to be negative. It's a good line... I liked Cass' ones where if you are walking on thin ice, you may as well dance... or unless you're living on the edge, you are taking up too much space... I can identify with the latter...
