I am experiencing internal and fatal errors when I’m using drawings that were created in r14. What I am doing is taking a 2d print that was created in release 13 or 14 xrefing them into a new AutoCAD 2000 dwg (I am over-laying them not attaching them.) once I’ve done this I then started getting fatal and internal errors. Is there any advice out there?

You should probably convert the R13 and R14 drawing to R2K before you use them in an xref. DimensionalSolutions@Core.com

dsi is right. First open the old drawing in Autocad 2000 and save the drawing as a release 2000 drawing. Then XREF them into your drawing. Steve Smith

i have seen alot of this and thats pretty much what you will have to do take for instance ADT1 and ADT2 (ADT=Architectural Desktop)ADT1 is R14 based and ADT2 is 2000 based this is what happens drawing created in ADT1 exrefed into a drawing created with ADT2 what you will end up with is walls that dont cleanup and doors that have windows in them so whatch out for odd behavior
