how do you change the family/class of a hypothetical compound from hydrocarbon to inorganic.
I want to create a hypothetical compound which is inorganic but the family/class is by-default hydrocarbon.

HYSYS does not handle inorganics very well. Why would you want to add NaOH - Its already in the list (class is "miscelleneous")?

actually i want to create a hypo component as a catalyst in simulation of biodiesel production process. I am using hysys v8, they already have an example of this simulation. but when i tried to create a hypo by providing all info i couldnt change the family/class of new hypo from hydrocarbon to inorganic-hope this clears the confusion...thanks for you prevoius reply
