Dear Sirs,

We are currently working on the dynamic depressurization utility of Hysys, in detail we are simulating a natural gas pipe depressurization using the General (Choked Flow) valve equation, and specifying the Av coefficient, which is the orifice area (leak area) for simulating the orifice flow. We have a concern related to the downstream orifice temperature as we wonder if the utility take into account the kinematics energy impacting on the results temperature.
Can somebody help me please?

The easiest way to obtain info re. such specific details is to contact the support team for HYSYS.

They are very helpfull and quick

Best regards

I agree with MortenA. The product support is helpful and quick. I have also noticed that the documentation for certain parts of HYSYS has a lot of the equations used in the simulator. The Operations Guide has 23 pages on this utility maybe what you are looking for is in there.
