Hydrocyanic acid Corrosion

In what extent staninless steels (316L or 304) are affected by Hydrocyanic acid corrosion? Anticipating a value of above 20 ppmw of HCN, how good 316 or 204 materials can resist the attack at 70 Deg C and at 120 Deg C? Is there any good corrosion data available in any books? I could not find much data in ASM handbook. Please advise.

Search for Prussic acid, you might have better luck.
Are there any other impurities? (Cl?)
If not then I would go with 304L.

It's a good surficial iron remover- it takes up iron (III) as the ferrocyanide.

It's much more damaging to people than to stainless steel..

I could find hastelloy is a good candidate, but still wondering why any books speak about HCN resistance of 316L or duplex or other commonly used materials!! Anyways thanks for your replys!! It did help me a lot
