Hello all,
I am installing hydrants of dry barrel, but these was bad specified about the barrell length. So to suit we are thinking in modify the barrel (cut to be shorter) and valve stem.
From a construction point of view is very easy the modification. But now I am thinking that maybe there is somthing in the nfpa that dont let us do the modification of the dry barrel of the hydrant.
Is somebody know a specific part of the code regarding to this issue or the lost of the UL/FM certification ?
thanks in advance
