Dear all,

I need to convert 30.131 kg/m3 to a Nm3/hr, whereas:
The status: Hydrogen Gas
Working temp: 50 C
Working press: 4 bar abs.
Working density: 0.3001188349 kg/m`3

The units of the 30.131 seem wrong. What actually is the bit you are having difficulty with? Unless we know where your problem is we can't help.

This is exactly the same conversion that purdster requested a few days ago in this same forum. Is this a homework problem for a school class?

mbeychok,

It's not for a homework, actually am doing some calculation and i received this info from a vendor and need to find the equevilant in the unit of Nm3/hr.

actually as per our desihn flow is 550 Nm3/hr, but the vendor sent the orifice calc as per what i wrote, that is why am looking for this calc.

My best regards

I agree the units seem wrong. The 30.131 has the units of density, not flow. Get the vendor to clarify.

ohhh sorry actually what I meant is 30.131 kg/hr

At Normal conditions you can regard hydrogen as an ideal gas. Go to Milton Beychok's web page (see his signature above) and then select the Air Dispersion Modeling Conversions and Formulas which will tell you all you need about calculating gas densities.

Once you have understood what it is all about go to my web page (see my sig below) and download the free program Uconeer. It has a built in calculator to convert mass flow to volumetric flow, but you need to understand what you are doing in order to be able to use it.
