I'm the doing the Hvac design for a 200 square ft. laundry room. It has 6 washers and 6 dryers. The room is to be cooled and heated. The dryers will be exhausting 150-200 cfm each. I plan on sizing the exhaust header so I don't have to use a fan. Would an outside door louver be the best way to introduce the outside air or would I need to use a dedicated make-up air unit? If so, wouldn't I need to be able to throttle the make-up air back when only a couple of the dryers are running?

Put the dryers in a separate room, non-conditioned. Provide outside air louver for make-up air. Simple & cheap solution. Otherwise, you will have an expensive complex system with motorized dampers, make-up air unit, complex controls.

LUMBEE: Check you local codes and see what they require. Trashcanman has a good idea. I would suggest putting the opening to the dryer's space into the room with the washers. That way they both get ventilated. If winters are cold in your area, and you use outside air, you may wnat to look to supplemental heat to help maintain the laundry room temperatures.
