Hi, I can't find any reference in code about using same precast trench to lay HV, LV and Communication cables in the same one. I would use a divider for the HV cable anyway. So, the question is if I can use the same trench (not direct buried but precast) at all. I'd appreciate your help. Thanks, Gus

if the HV has a physical separation sufficient for the use, electric ok. But comms will want to approve, or not, shouldnt matter if its fiber in its own duct, but if comms is copper, ask them if they ok it or not.

In the US, the HV (>1000) must be physically separated - a separate conduit is OK. But I'd strongly urge a separate trench and manholes for the HV cable. I've tried it in a common trench/duct bank and really regretted it. It can be done legally, but it is a PITA. If the comm ckts belong to telco or other, then they have the last word on that generally.
