thanks, I was looking for more information on electrical stress field data, how the equi-potential lines vary with and without stress cone application, how to quantify the benifits of stress cone application & how to identify the reduction in stress concentrations in key areas of the cable / lug connection area.

You may want look at the headings under: Experience seems to have a greater effect on MV-cable life compared with 600-volt materials. There is a lot less room for error with shielded-cable installation. 65kVDC testing of new 15kV 133% cables does a good job of ‘flushing out‘ sloppy splices and terminations.
