HTRI Kettle Reboiler Warning Message

Hi,
I am running this HTRI case for a kettle reboiler with Amine boiling on the shellside and steam as the heating source on the tubeside. Unlike the usual kettle cases with high vaporization, this case has only 4% vapour exiting the shell. We had to use a kettle to ensure vapor/Liq. separation due to Amine high foaming tendency. Long story short, I keep getting this error message warning me that only 35% of the bundle is submerged and if shell drainage is by gravity only, shellside exit nozzle (liquid nozzle behind the weir I would guess) should be increased in size. Does anyone know what this error means and how I can resolve this.
Best Regards,
arh

Hi Arh,

This is an unusual error message considering that the kettle has a weir and that the liquid level is that much below the top of the weir. Is it possible that you specified an unusually low entrainment value where a very large amount of vapor space would be required?
