Need to know the tensile, yield, and shear properties of a M16 ZINC HT 8.8 bolt,
The zinc spec is unknown but is to industrial grade.

Use is for securing 5th Wheel hitch assy.

M16 metric Grade 8.8 bolts have a min. yield strength of 660 MPa and a min. tensile strength of 830 MPa.

FYI - The first digit relates to the nom. tensile strength of the material, whilst the second is the ratio of nom. yield stress to nom. tensile strength. Similarly, for Grade 4.6 bolts, they have a nom. tensile strength of 400 MPa, and a nom. yield strength of 0.6 x 400 = 240 MPa.

The actual min. tensile and min. yield strengths are dependent on the bolt diameter.
