Hi,

Has anyone used this analyzer before? I'm trying to monitor the state of a processor. Any quick references or links to where I can learn how to use this?

Thanks,
Vic

Hi,

Try these links, they are for a 16500C. If you have a B then change the name of the file eg the first link is
16500cug.pdf change it to 16500bug.pdf for the B version

Good luck :

The above link is the user guide

The above link is the user reference

The above link is the service guide

The above link is the programmers guide

The above link is 1 day course
Any help ?, yes no let me know.

Regards

Yes, helpful. Now that I know how to use it, how can I save the data on a floppy? I can save the data on the hard disk, but I am unalbe to save the data on a floppy. I read the user manual and reference and it doesn't help at all. I am using the HP 16505A prototype analyzer along with the HP 16500C Logic Analyzer. The 16505A is a unix based software, but I'm having problems saving configs and data onto a floppy disk. Any suggestions?

Vic

If the 16500C is like the 16500B, then when you attempt to save, press the harddisk key and you should be able to select the floppy disk (flexible disk).

Yes, I did try that but when I first save onto the hard disk, the file size is 6MB. It doesn't fit onto a floppy. I want to save not only the config and data files. More importantly the data files, but I found out that inorder to view the data files the config has to be viewed as well. I did get the 16505a to save onto a floppy. I figured out a way to do so. Is there a way to save the files from the 16500 to a floppy. I read the manual and it did say there is a pack file function, but I am unable to find it.
