i want subtract one part from main part in part mode. anyone help me?

put both parts into assembly then edit> component oprations >cut out

You can do an insert>shared data>merge/inheritence. You will need to specify the placement of the new part by adding mating constraints which is somewhat difficult because you have to toggle back and forth between the 2 parts to be able to select the surfaces for alignment. After that you just need to select the "remove material" icon and you should have it. Hope that helps.

top down design like sandsami says above or use Copy Geometry. Or if you don't have Adavanced Assembly you can use Master Merge. Haven't tried that yet with WF5.0 nor Creo yet.

In one of his tutorials,
http://www.e-cognition.net/pages/Shared_Part_Contour.html&nb sp;
Leo Greene goes through a somewhat lengthy process for
doing the same thing. Does anybody know why?
Why wouldn't kenppy's method work?
In the tutorial, there is a feature failure. Is his model
more complicated?

Thanks
