The nuclear class 3 safety relief valve has to be designed in accordance with ASME Section III, Subsection ND. My understanding is I have to size the relief valve in accordance with Section III, Subsection ND. Can I size it in accordance with ASME Section VIII and the design code, nameplate capacity, and stamping are still with ASME Section III, Subsection ND?
