Howdy all,

It looks like I'll be taking the composite repair design course provided by Boeing in about a month. What suggestion would you give to get the most out of the training? I'm dusting off Michael Niu's Composite Airframe structures to brush up on composites, but I've never taken a formal composites course. I have a BSME from K-State, but didn't take the composite technical electives (wish I had now). This is a great opportunity for me and I want to make it count.

Thanks,

-Kirby

Remember, first define the problem, then solve it.

Niu's book is a good general purpose reference.

It will also depend if the course is geared towards the manufacturing or analysis side.

If it is analysis, there are not a lot of great "quick" resources, but you can start with Jone's book or Daniel and Ishai's book for basic understanding.

If it is geared towards manufacturing and processes (which are very important for repairs), then "Care and Repair of Advanced Composites" by Armstrong and Barrett is a useful resource.
