How to open sap v16.0.2 file using sap v14.2.2?

Hi,
you can try to open the .$2k file with a text reader and change the version to the exact number of your program version (i suggest you to copy from another file the right number).
For example:
TABLE: "PROGRAM CONTROL"
ProgramName=SAP2000 Version=17.1.1 CurrUnits="KN, m, C" SteelCode=AISC-ASD89 ConcCode="ACI 318-99" AlumCode="AA-ASD 2000" ColdCode=AISI-ASD96 RegenHinge=No
you must change 17.1.1 in 14.2.2
