hello
I am using ansys mechanical apdl.I have plate and disc. i want to impart force on the disc and then to roll it.deformation on the plate is important for me. my question are:
1- can i model disc as rigid body? if yes how?
2- how can i impart force and then roll the disc?
i modeled 2D,defined pilot node on the center of disc, but because i couldn't model disc as rigid body when imparting force, the force distributed on whole of disc.and results are unrealistic.
3- how can I consider force on the disc and roll it?
with imparting boundary condition using by displacement i did it..but with the force,i couldn't..
I recall you i use ansys mechanical APDL. and other version of ansys are unavailable. the photos of program environment has been attached
any point or guidance would be appreciated
