How to model a continuous beam being simply supported on columns 1

So imagine a mutispan continuous beam, how to have this continuous beam be continuous(meaning not have to release the moment at column location but yet be simply supported at the column location. Say you want your beam to be resting on the column and not fixed to the column at intermediate span.
 
Adding a moment release at the top of the column should work
 
Add a release at the top of the column if the column is not connected to another beam or add a moment release to the beam at that end.
