Hello,

I want to model an airfoil which is 2-d (attached) for both flutter and static aeroelastic analysis, the mass is given per unit length so i can obtain stiffness of the spring (in the figure) K_h and K_alpha from w_h and w_alpha (frequencies) which are again per unit length (i call this as distributed spring). So how should i model this airfoil.

I know that we need a 3 dimensional body for flutter analysis, in such case how should i consider the distributed spring stiffness and what should be my span??

This is a 2 DOF pitch plunge theoretical model of flutter. You can use an internet search to find university lectures deriving the EOM. Nastran is overkill unless you have specific wing geometry, materials, and input functions predefined.
