How to Merge All Forces Applied to Single Node 1

Hi everyone!


If I have a single load set with 10-12 single point loads applied to the same node, is there any way to display only the number of the sum of all these forces?
My problem is that FEMAP displays the value of each single load applied for the active load set, meaning tons of overlapping numbers (which doesn't look good when it's time to take screenshots).


Any quick tips?
 
Hi,

If you are using Femap V11.1, you can use the combine command by selecting the created loads on the same node and right mouse click.
Then you will see that Femap combine these values by displaying the active load set.
And then your screen shot will be "pretty". And after you can use the Ctrl + Z command to undo the combinaison.

Great! If all else fails I can open the 10.3 model in 11.1 just for the pictures (I have both).
Anyway to do this in FEMAP V10.3 that you know of?

Hey again!

After posting, I had a quick peek in FEMAP V10.3 -- the same "Combine" command is there.
It combines nicely, but the various values can still be seen (even after a re-generate).

Tried it in FEMAP V11.1 as well -- all combines to one, but the big mess remains.

Maybe this combine thing only works if the forces are applied to a single node?
I had all 12 forces applied to the same 50 nodes or so.

Maybe I'll play around with it another day -- it's close though! Thanks for the tip!
 
Hey AdamFetsch,

I am new to FEMAP and my suggestion might not be that worthwhile but anyways I would like to pitch in. From the stress on your queries I believe that it is for reporting purpose that you would like to display the sum. I would suggest TOOLS>CHECK>SUM FORCES . This will give you the sum of forces on a node and this along with a snapshot of the node with the node number displayed would be explanatory enough i guess.
Maybe you have already tried that and was not satisfied. Anyways just wanted to pitch in whatever I can.
