Hi,

I am importing an .iges CAD file to Design Modeler. I am then scaling the model. How can I measure the dimensions of my scaled model in Design Modeler? If I export the CAD file from Design modeler and open it in Autodesk Inventor, I have the original file, not the scaled one. I know I can scale the part in Autodesk Inventor prior to exporting, but I would like to explore this other option.

I thank you in advance,
Best regards,

In design modeler you can measure the dimensions using Tools=>Analysis tools=>Distance Finder. Other commands like entity information, mass properties and bounding box etc. are also useful. In Ansys mechanical, you can use "i" button or you can select the features like edge, area, volume, elements and nodes etc. and use selection information to check all the geometry/entity details.
