How to Learn Smart Fasteners and 3D Sketchs?

The help files for smart fasteners and 3D sketches (upon which they're based) are...um..."sketchy". Anyone find a good tutorial?

Is there a best practice way to use them with minimum fuss?

Not so much specific questions as wanting to know how they work so I can use them without trepidation.

I'm helping teach at UCB and want to know how to use their tools. Are there really no manuals about this stuff!?
