How to inspect signal data type in m file programing

I can make Simulink to display the signal data type by selecting 'format/port data types', but the information displayed is not recorded by any of the ObjectParameters of either the block or the line involved.

Does anyone know how to use 'Data Type Propagation' in simulink programming?
