Any procedure how to import native NX assembly in to Teamcenter??

We are in NX-6 intigrated with Teamcenter 8

Use File/Import Assembly into Teamcenter. It's not that friendly but does the job. If it is a large assembly or you want to change any Item IDs then it may be best to do a dry run first to create a Clone file. This file can then be edited with the required changes and used for the actual inport - point to it from the Log Files tab.

Hi mike,

I followed below steps to import assembly TCE.

1. Created blank dataset in TCE.

2. File->Import assembly.

3. In numbering Tab opion set to Auto generate.

4. In main tab selected 'Add assmbly' choosen respective assembly file.

5. Toggled on Dry run

Though getting an error (attached).

You don't need to create a blank dataset in Teamcenter as the import will create any that are required. Could you post details from the listing window as the error message does not give much detail.

I haven't come across this error before. I am guessing that it could be related to the 'default part type' on the numbering tab.
