How to get info about field variables at nodes/integration points?

Hi,

I'm actually working on a umat using nonlocal strains for regularisation. How can I get information about displacements/strains at neighbouring nodes/integration points? There ought to be something like GETVRM for UMATs which allows access to other nodes/points as several authors report on such a proceeding...
