How to enter surveying lines (bearing, distance) can't seem to make it work like AutoCAD does....

I have tried everything I know how to do but Draftsight doesn't seem to allow this input. But the "units" section shows it being available...?

You mean like compass bearing, distance? I didn't know ACAD did that.

Just verified that DS will accept the usual AutoCAD syntax
l
0,0
@2<25
@3<90
... etc.

Where the @n is the distance from the 'current' point,
and <xx is the angle in degrees CCW from a horizontal line going to the right.

Mike,

Thanks! I got a few inputs to work, but I need to tinker with it more. I plotted my dads farm property deeds on Acad 2-d years ago, then put a PDF image of topographic USGS map embedded in the file, adjusted the scale of the topo image by comparing a scaled line in Acad, then scooted each property boundary into place. It works great.

But I left that company and there is only Draftsite here so I am learning it....

I will play around more now...:)

Thanks!
