I am new to SolidWorks, coming over from CATIA.
I am top-down modeling and I want to use a couple of existing faces(on other parts) for my new part.
I know this should be easy to do but every thing I try fails.
Can't I just extract or duplicate that surface some how?
I am learning this from home, so I am used to just asking the guy next to me, so thats you guys.
Thanks

Use surface offset with a value of zero for the offset. Menu picks: Insert --> Surface --> Offset.
