Hello all,

My intention is to do CAM Hole Making , NX12, for the holes actually just represented by their upper edge center points.
I've got following data : Center Points in NX Modeling, diameter and hole depth of each hole in an Excel sheet. Since there are hundreds of holes, it is not easy to create holes in modeling to use their features in CAM drilling operation.

Actually, this wouldn't be a problem for old fashion Hole making by using Drill Template, Point to Point Drilling. The template is still there but hidden to urge using new style Hole Making.

My question: how holes can be drilled by not using/referencing a hole feature, just selecting a point in new style Hole Making.

Thanks in advance

Karl

You can select points in the Feature Geometry dialog of the operation.

Ok.. I got it, thanks a lot Anthony ..

I was not aware you could use points; thank you for the tip Anthony. I use hole making very little lately but it is so much more powerful than the legacy point to point operations it makes me wish I could use it more. When I have some free time I plan to try FBM and maybe try the teaching mode on non-parametric models.
