Before I did not have this problem since I had limited cores.
Right now I am able to use up to 512 cpus and I would like to learn if there is a way to optimize the cpu usage or a rule of thumb.

Thanks

The number of CPUs that you can use for analysis may be limited by your license tokens. But generally I would advise you to check some performance benchmarks. Also take a look at each simulation problem separately and do some tests to see how well it scales as this is really case dependent.

Depends on the model. Simply do a sweep on the number of CPUs and you will find your way to the optimum core count. There are too many variables at play to come up with a general recommendation. That said, there is one general idea: implicit codes do not benefit much with more cores where explicit ones do.
