How to delete edge lines?

Hello, guys. I need your help. I've been trying to delete/join edge lines in a drawing of a clamp I am making, but I am stuck. Basically I'm trying to delete these lines http://i57.tinypic.com/35bw9e1.jpg but I don't know what option to use. I tried Insert => Mold => Parting Lines but it doesn't work.
