Hello all,

I am using ZEMAX EE 2003 for simulation of single mode fiber coupling. The mode of ZEMAX I am using is non-sequential. I assume the beam going out of the fiber end is Gaussian, so I choose it to be a source Gaussian and later this source will be propagating throughout my system. I realize that the parameters I use to define this source will strongly affect the performance of the system. I would appreciate it very much if someone could explain to me what exactly does "position" parameter of the source Gausssian mean? and how to appropriately set this parameter?

I am also aware that it is possible to use a Source DLL to define the Gaussian beam emitting from a planar fiber model. Has anyone used it before? Could you please show me how to set 6 parameters, A to F? Many thanks in advance.
